Via a partnership with an Applied Research Institute, Econocom continues to invest in the smart solutions sector.

Anticipating businesses’ smart objects needs  

To assist its clients in keeping apace with the growing communicating objects trend, Econocom has set up a European R&D programme with the ISMB (Istituto Superiore Mario Boella) in Turin. With over 150 researchers, the ISMB [http://www.ismb.it/en/node/1594] specialises in the ICT industry, working on highly innovative projects every day with companies from the IT and other industries.

Some 20 billion objects will be connected by 2020, according to GSMA’s estimations, resulting in a major upheaval of companies’ technology infrastructures and IT systems and smart solution requirements.

Econocom and the smart solutions market

Econocom already offers its customers comprehensive solutions for integrating, administrating and leasing communicating and smart objects and the related infrastructures.

The group is also a member of IPSO Alliance an organisation which promotes IPv6. Furthermore, Econocom has set up a Digital Center, in Paris, a demonstration area dedicated to new technologies, with three main types of solution: multimedia, mobile ICT, digital and medical.
